Study on the Formability and Texture evolution of AA6061 Alloy Processed by Repetitive Corrugation and Straightening.

The enhanced mechanical properties obtained by refining the grain size down to ultrafine-grained (UFG) regime have attracted considerable attention in recent years. severe plastic deformation (SPD) techniques allow obtaining materials. Different SPD permit processing sheet shape materials such as repetitive corrugation and straightening (RCS) accumulative roll bonding (ARB). In this study, formability of an AA 6061-T6 processed RCS was evaluated. forming limit diagrams (FLD) were Nakazima tests samples initial condition (T6 state) after one two cycles. FLD curves showed that capacity decreased from first cycle. Likewise, uniaxial tensile at different temperatures strain rates conducted analyze effect process on rate sensitivity. They a relatively high sensitivity coefficient cycles, which indicates improvement i) material delay onset necking ii) increasing temperatures. Finally, texture analysis carried out employing X-ray diffraction, calculating orientation distribution functions (ODFs). predominant cube component, whereas, for further weakening increment S component observed.
